Former Albanian Premier Sali Berisha made an appeal to support Ukraine and attacked Premier Edi Rama for remaining silent regarding the “Russian primitive blackmail against Ukraine”.

Speaking in the parliament today, Berisha also criticized the Russian Embassy in Tirana, saying it threatened the Albanian government and parliament.

“Today, as a force of evil, Russia surpasses any threatening force ever in history. It threatens to use its nuclear weapons and strength against free nations, to invade a neighbor country based on Brezhnev’s limited sovereignty doctrine”, Berisha said.

“The only country that has remained silent facing this unprecedented blackmail is a NATO member, which at the same time is country with a government headed by a servant of Belgrade, a vassal of Vučić”.

“The parliament must immediately pass a resolution expressing full solidarity with Ukraine. The government and the parliament have been blackmailed by the Russian Embassy through a threatening letter. We must not remain silent, because our country has been threatened. The threat is against Albania”, Berisha said.

“Let us express full solidarity to Ukraine, United States, NATO. This has never happened. You pretend nothing has happened. What are we waiting for? Edi Rama has no other interests but criminal interests. He has no national interests. What gives the right to the Russian Embassy to send an ultimatum letter to Albania? In what international agreement do they find this? Perhaps at the nuclear button? The biggest evil today is Putin’s Russia threat”.
